Really liked this soup, I was surprised that the evaporated milk worked so well. I did not find it thickened up too much, it was a good consistency. I did not use onion or celery, and added extra carrots in their place. I did not peel the potatoes as I prefer to leave the skins on. I also used home made chicken broth that I had skimmed the fat off of, but I think boxed would work also. I tasted the soup while cooking it and made the decision to add some extra poultry seasoning.

this was very good. Next time I will use less rice, because I'd like to have a bit more broth

Amazing! I make my own broth by using the carcass of two roasted chickens I had on hand. I also added a few more carrots and onions as I like lots of vegetables in my soup. Other than that yummy, yummy, yummy!

This was pretty good. It tasted like chicken and dumpling soup. I don't think both the flour and milk are necessary so next time I will omit one of them or reduce them.

This was my first creamy chicken soup. I followed the recipe as written just to try something different than my usual. It was very good. My husband thought it tasted like a pot pie, so if I do make this again I will cover it with some bisquick! But for a regular soup I would skip the flour and milk.

Doubling the recipe to take care of a few families with colds running thru their house. I used 10 chicken thighs boiled with salt and pepper de-boning (this made an excellent chicken broth so I did not have to buy it and was able to control the salt content by taste. Eliminated the evap milk otherwise i followed the qty for "16". Excellent. I served with cornbread and crackers. When i portioned out our families amount I dashed in some Curry just to add a little heat as our family like spicy. Not overwelming just a nice undertone. Makes a wonderful "get well soon" meal to take to friends.

Excellent recipe, will make again. Made the following changes and it came out great: -Roasted the chicken, deboned it, and then used the carcus to make my own stock for the soup. (I followed Gordon Ramsey's recipe for stock...only takes about 45 min as opposed to many stock recipes that call for 8 hrs of boiling). -Added 1 can of corn to the soup at the end -Next time I will just not add the condensed milk. It was good and it gave the soup a creamy base but I think I'd prefer this as a traditional chicken noodle soup with a more brothy base. Mmmm! Seved with a ceasar salad and homemade bread!!

This is a great soup, but I made a "Thai" version. College Inn now makes culinary chicken broths, and I used the Thai Curry Coconut one for this soup. I omitted the potatoes because I don't like them in soup, and added mushrooms. The result was awesome. I did however have to use extra broth because it does end up being rather thick, but it is fantastic.
