Pretty tasty, but it needed more for me. With the addition of a few more ingredients, I think this could be 5 star.

This was fantastic even though I did not marinate it for more than 30 minutes and cooked it for about 3 hours at 300 F (poor planning on my part). Great recipe! Thanks!

Hands down - best chicken ever. The spices are perfect and slow cooking for 5 hours in the 250 degree oven is the way to go. The smell of the chicken was driving me bananas for five hours. I couldn't wait to eat! I will try this on just plain chicken breasts and cook for less time when I'm in a hurry on a weeknight sometime-- I think the spice combo is really good.

This is one easy recipe the whole family enjoys! We have to make two chickens for our family of four, I always want just a little leftovers :) We do stuff the crevice with onion and fresh garlic. I prepare the chicken and cling wrap overnight in the fridge, then turn on the oven the next day and carry on until dinner time! Falls of teh bone and has such a delicious flavor!

So far I've made this three times this month! An easy way to make delicious chicken for multiple meals at a very low cost. I followed the recipe exactly and made two chickens each time for easy leftovers. It is truly fix and forget! Once done, I cut the remaining chicken in half with shears. Bones are easy to remove since the chicken is well done. The meat is really, really moist. I have rewarmed in the oven, wrapped in foil. I have also zapped in the microwave for several minutes on medium to warm up. Both work well. The same fresh rotisserie flavor remains. Pieces can be used in chicken salad. Tonight I'm using breast meat with a side of pasta. It's all good! The spice mixture is PERFECT. I made a large amount of that and now keep it handy in a rubbermaid container in the spice cupboard. If you like wings, you won't believe how scrumptious they are with this recipe. Thanks for a winner!

this recipe was such a disappointment. the chicken was bone dry and flavorless. My guess is that all of the flavor and juiciness was in the plethora of liquid in the bottom of the pan that accumulated during cooking.
