Ingredients

  • 1 (9 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mix, butter and egg; mix well. Spread into a greased 9-in. square baking pan.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and egg; spread evenly over batter. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Store in the refrigerator.
