OMG! I will never ever go back to canned refried beans after trying these. After quartering the recipe (there are only three of us), I added two beef bouillon cubes for flavor, and instead of regular salt I used jalapeno salt, which eased the salty flavor everyone was talking about. I used a whole jalapeno (we like it spicy here, lol) and I actually let the beans cook for 10 hours longer, it helped make a bit creamier. My family freaking loves loves loves the amazing flavor and so do I :) Will definitely be adding to the recipe box, lol :)
