My friends and family love these. Doubling the recipe to use a 13x9 pan does work. My only suggestion is a little more jam and almonds than the recipe calls for. That's just to suit my taste.
Excellent mix of flavors. I doubled the recipe and made it in a 9-inch by 13-inch pan and it turned out great. Not too sweet, with the tartness of the raspberry preserves.

I made these yesterday, and they are horrible. I'm sure it's my mistake (seeing that the recipe won a contest), but I can't figure out what I did wrong, except to use a round springform instead of the square pan. The bars took almost an hour to even lightly brown on top, and the bottom is soggy and gritty; the whole thing is extremely greasy. In short, an inedible mess, really. Now if I can only figure out where I went wrong, it might be a really good recipe!
