"What did Mamma do when her grocery money didn't stretch for real Parmesan cheese? She improvised, naturally. Being a good cook, her meal eventually became famous, even dukes loved Mamma's spaghetti. And so will you. But pssst, don't give away Mamma's little secret..."

white bread, crusts trimmed
1 (8 ounce) package
freshly ground black pepper to taste
I did not care for this recipe. Olive oil and bread usually make a good combination, but not here.
Well, after I put the bread into the olive oil to brown it, there wasn't any reserve oil left for the spaghetti. It was a waste of bread and olive oil. I didn't care for the taste of the bread crumbs either. Sorry.
this is okay. im 13 and love to cook. i made this recipe as lunch on day and i thought it tasted alright. i took out the breadcrumbs, and while roasting the garlic i added onion, salt, pepper. then on top i ground some of McCormick gridners.. the italian one on..
Ok for a quick cheap supper. Although I added chopped fresh parsley to the crumbs and salt and pepper,
Maybe it's just me, but isn't a store brand shaker of parm cheese about half the cost of olive oil?? I did not care for this recipe.
I would rate this as a five star for really stretching your dollar but other than that it's flavorless. A little crushed red pepper would up it some.
its ok in a pinces
