Original recipe makes 1 pound Change Servings


  1. Microwave the chocolate in a microwavable bowl on high for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute. Stir until completely melted. Stir the nuts into the chocolate. Spoon the chocolate and nut mixture onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 1 hour until firm. Break into bite-size pieces about an inch in size. Enjoy one piece as a treat.

This is heavenly! I also make it using walnuts which are personal favorites. If you are on SBD, keep your cravings for this down by melting only 2 squares of chocolate and making a smaller recipe, then when you are tempted to "eat it all" you're not sabotaging your diet!

I admit-my weakness is chocolate! But this treat keeps me on track. As a previous reviewer stated, I also only melt two squares at a time. But, instead of making "bark" I drop it on waxed paper like cookie dough. Two squares makes four "clusters". For me, one or two clusters is just enough to keep me on track without making me feel like I've ruined my diet or deprived myself of all treats!

We all loved this!! Although I didn't exactly follow directions (we're not doing South Beach) I used one bag dark chocolate chips melted with 2 square of Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate. We added extra pistachios and golden raisins (I know, extra sugars). But... Wonderful!!

This is such a good treat! I added a little bit of mint oil to my chocolate, Yum!

This is a great "go to" treat-- a fairly healthy sweet option. For a holiday twist, add some chopped peppermint candy.
