I love pecan pie, but I've never made it before. Thanks to this recipe, my first try was a huge success! I didn't pick this recipe because of the "no corn syrup" factor and honestly didn't think that would make much of a difference, but it really dd. The flavor of this pie had more depth and complexity than most other pecan pies I've had. I totally loved it. The only reason I can't give this five stars is because of the baking time/temperature. It was kind of a guessing game trying to figure out something reasonable based on the recipes and different reviews. I just kept turning the temp down and did have to cover with foil at one point. Turned out great in the end though :-)
