creamy peanut butter
crushed red pepper
scallions, including tops, thinly sliced
Sauce was so salty, I couldn't taste anything else. Would be alright with less soy sauce.
This is a great and easy sauce! I use sesame oil instead of veg. oil, and honey instead of sugar. I also add rice wine and toasted sesame seeds to it. To alleviate the saltiness, you can use low salt soy and add a bit of water and crushed peanuts (unsalted) to balance the texture. YUM!
I used sesame oil instead of the vegetable oil which added a wonderful flavor. For the reviewer who commented on the salty taste, there are low sodium soy sauces out there which is what I always use. I didn't see the need for the sugar as the PB has quite enough, altho I did use a soy nut butter due to peanut allergies. We normally use vinegar as our dipping sauce for egg rolls, but my family all enjoyed this extra added addition.
This was delicious with Lumpias! Definetely a keeper. Thanx for sharing!
