"Now that the peach season is here, this recipe is really good for using those fresh peaches. When the season is over, just use canned peaches for the same delicious bread. This was a big hit at our Tennis Round Robin Day. I like using a mixture of walnuts and hazelnuts."

Try it! I had a slightly smaller loaf pan so I made a loaf and muffins. The peaches I had were large so I only needed 4. It had the perfect amount of nuts and the texture/moisture was very nice. The loaf was loved by friends and family, but we all agreed it needed more cinnamon so after buttering the muffin pan I dusted it with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar (1tps cinnamon - 1T sugar). Perfect.
Decent bread, nice and moist too. I upped the cinnamon to 1.5tsp and would have preferred chunks of peaches in the bread vs. using all puree.
This bread is certainly moist, almost too moist. I liked the idea of having a very peachy tasting bread, but this was not the case. There was no detectable peach flavor in this bread. I wanted to see chunks of peaches so I did not puree them, but diced them. My peaches were soft and somewhat mushy in places so dicing them produced a slurry of puree and chunks on it's own. Even so, no real peach flavor, the peaches just seem to serve as the ingredient that provides the moisture. The predominant flavor in this bread is almond. The use of almond extract was a bit overpowering. Vanilla extract would have been a better choice for this bread. The pecans are a nice touch and are also predominant in this bread. I agree with the other reviewers that more cinnamon is needed, yet even so, this bread doesn't live up to it's name "peachie peach". I probably would not make this bread again. I will either try other recipes, or try to make changes to this one.
