I'll be honest...I LOVED these, with a couple of small changes. I was looking for a way to use up some bran flakes that a former roommate left behind, and these sounded so interesting. I made the following changes: added 1 tsp vanilla extract as per previous reviewer's suggestion, slightly more lemon zest, and half whole wheat flour/half all purpose. I didn't measure how much lemon zest I put in, but it was the zest of half a lemon - not tons more, but more. The half whole wheat flour was personal preference, but I think it worked really well. I will definitely make them again. Personally I like the cubes of cream cheese so left it in cubes and did not blend into the batter.
