Well, I am making this for the second time tonight so we must have liked it! I didn't change anything on the recipe (I'm not that creative!) but we liked it just fine.
This was okay. I didn't really care for the chunky tomatoes and green beans. It was pretty easy to make, but I probably won't make it again.
This was really great. I used ground turkey instead of ground beef to make it a bit healthier. I also added a cup of canned corn to the meat & green bean mixture. This added some nice color and texture. I used pre-made mashed potatoes, however this would be a great way to use up mashed potatoes leftovers. We did have some leftovers and I think it tasted even better heated up the next day.
We didn't like this at all. it was bland even after i added spices and garlic. the only good part was the potatoes because i made them myself.
This was REALLY good. Like a meatloaf dinner in one pan. I was "ingredient searching" for a recipe that used ground beef and green beans and this came up. I didn't have diced tomatoes or packaged potatoes on-hand tonight so I used an equal amount of crushed tomatoes and instant mashed potatoes (4 cups dry) instead of the packaged. I also added fresh sliced carrots for more vegetables. Note: it is best to set your pan on a baking sheet to catch any bubble-overs.
