I really liked this recipe. I did not use, or miss, the habanero peppers.
Outstanding. The habanero puts this salsa over the top.
I don't like spicy stuff so I cut out the hot peppers and substituted zucchini. I also changed the lime juice for lemon juice, simply because that's what I had on hand. Husband liked it on his chips.
A simple and very tasty salsa. I made the mistake of using two particularly hot habeneros once. A half cup of crushed pineapple took the heat down and added a nice extra flavor. Very good with or without pineapple added.
Perfect for summer snacking!! So easy & quick, a great way to use up some ripe red tomatoes. A new favorite salsa recipe in our house :)
