Orange-Raisin Toasting Bread Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 1)

Very easy, very tasty bread! I found the liquid just right, and I don't ever count waiting for the bread to rise as "prep" time. I made it the first time with Florida's Natural orange juice, and followed the recipe exactly. Great! The second time I was making it for a diabetic neighbor, and I used a frozen concentrate and mixed it with less water, and it added a nice extra zing to the bread. I used only 1/4 cup of raisins. Next time I may try dried cherries instead of raisins, for their healthier qualities. My neighbor loved the bread as much as I did! Thank you!

this did not make itself! The prep time is wrong as you have to wait for it to double 45 minutes. It was just dense and lacking in a flavor balance of sweet and savory I think. I will not make this again and never give to drop by friends with tea!

Please don't follow the other review! Moisture-wise this recipe was PERFECT. The bread is very good and delicately flavored. Just increase the orange zest and sugar to give a bolder orange flavor. Everyone loved it.

something is not right at all. Liquid is missing. There's no way you'd have to "spoon" the "batter" into the baking pan with 3 cups of flour and only 1.25 cups of liquid. My guess is that an egg or some milk is missing.
