PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
NILLA Wafers, finely crushed
MAXWELL HOUSE INTERNATIONAL CAFE Cafe Vienna, divided
2 (6 ounce) packages
BAKER'S White Chocolate, melted
BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate
Very easy! Adding a little bit of butter (1 tablespoon or so) to the Nilla and cream cheese mixture helps moisten it a bit, making it easier to mix and roll. Very delicious!
I LOVE tiramisu anything, but I didn't like the filling in this too much. Maybe adding some instant coffee would help. The white chocolate/coffee coating was excellent, I will make this to top something else.
These tasted more like coffee cheesecake, than tiramisu, so i had to give them 4 stars. They were still pretty good, but next time i plan on using a package of vanilla golden oreos instead of the vanilla wafers. I used 3 T in the cookie mix (my hubby and i love coffee and wanted a stronger flavor) and I ended up using 6 blocks of almond bark to coat. DO NOT mix the instant coffee with water, as that will seize your chocolate. I only added 1 1/2 T of coffee powder to my chocolate because it seemed to thicken it up quite a bit. Overall these were pretty tasty, but not as sweet as i would have liked. UPDATE: made with vanilla oreos and these are awesome!
trouble with the chocolate, it sounds like you used prepared coffee (water added). You'll have better luck using the dry coffee mix. :D
These were fantastic! The wonderful flavor wasn't evident until the next day after the flavors had time to settle. Everyone at the Christmas Party including myself couldn't stop eating these. They are simply DELISH!! Getting ready to make another batch b/c the first batch is gone!! Thanks for sharing!
I give them a 4 star rating as they are, but a 5 star if you up the Cafe Vienna. Otherwise, they just don't pack the punch of tiramisu. These taste better if you add an extra tablespoon of Cafe Vienna to the 'dough' and another extra tablespoon of Cafe Vienna to the chocolate. I didn't feel like drizzling the chocolate over the white chocolate, so I just mixed the two chocolates in together.
I changed it a little because we don't drink coffee and I only had instant coffee. I put less than 1 tbsp in the mixture, then only a sprinkle in the chocolate to dip it in. After I put a thumbprint of it on top. This recipe turned out sooo creamy and good and I don't like coffee. Very impressed and putting out for the family on Christmas! Thanks for a great recipe! :)
These are very easy to make and super delicious. They remind me a little of the Oreo balls but with a coffee twist. I would also compare them to eating chocolate chip cookie dough. Great recipe!
