What a disappointment! The dish is blend, tastes kind of thrown together. To me it seems that it lacks some herbs, maybe parsley or cilantro. Without any modification it is just a concoction.

I cooked this meal in my tagine and it came out great. Lots of flavor and the couscous I added finished it off.

This is now a favorite dish for our now healthy food oriented family. We've made this recipe about 8 times and it has been delicious every time! It is very forgiving so feel free to round up or down as ingredients are available. What we like to do: use dried garbanzo beans that we quick soak, chop everything about the same size, use extra garlic, cook chicken over low-medium heat so it stays extra tender, and add a dash of cinnamon. Plus, we double the recipe so we can freeze a batch for future meals. Truly delicious. Thanks for sharing!!

This works very well in the crockpot, too. Quorn tenders make a good substitute for the chicken. I think the flavors worked very nicely without any additions. Next time I may double the recipe and really fill the crockpot.

I added more spices(cumin, curry, and cinnamon) as suggested in other reviews, and added some golden raisins. I really enjoyed this!!

Delicious! The hardest part was preparing all the ingredients. I served it over flavored couscous.

My husband and i loved this. I used a large squash and substituted boneless skinless thighs. I also added some coconut water and served over jasmine rice. Delish!

Simply delicious. I did have to add alot more spices including cinnamon to this dish to make it to my liking. Otherwise, followed the recipe pretty closely.

Yum! Butternut squash is in season and on sale, and this was a delicious way to serv it. Only 4 stars because as written, I think this needs more spices, but I like a lot of flavor. I left out the chicken and added about a teaspoon each of cumin, cinnamon, and garam masala spice mix. I garnished with cilantro and served over cous cous, and even my husband liked it!
