Mom's Fudge

"This is such a simple fudge recipe. My mom has made this creamy and yummy fudge since I can remember! Everyone that tries it can't stop eating it! The best thing about it is you can personalize it by mixing in any of your favorite candies."

Original Recipe Yield 1 9-inch square pan
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 (12 ounce) bags semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

  1. Combine the chocolate chips, milk, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Line a 9-inch square baking dish with waxed paper; pour the fudge into the dish and smooth into an even layer. Allow to cool until firm, about 2 hours. Cut into squares; store wrapped in plastic or in a sealable container in the refrigerator.
