I would love to rate this recipe higher because the pancakes were very light and fluffy. However, they were too salty! Was I the only one with this issue? And, no, I didn't accidentally use a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon.

The best pancakes I've ever made! I'm 49 years old and I have never been able to make a fluffy pancake, even if I use mixes like bisquick and such. I can't make a good biscuit to save my life. But these pancakes are light fluffy and yummy, even for a non-cook like me.

I cut the salt in half like others suggested, and the taste was okay, but next time I'll probably add a bit of sugar, especially since the batter was so thin (runny). Btw, it made 10 pancakes.

Pretty good recipe, except that the pancakes come out flatter than I prefer. Overall good flavor.

This is a simple but delicious recipe. It is an excellent base for a variety of pancakes. I've made it twice and both times added bananas, defrosted blueberries and chocolate chips. I also recommend reducing the salt to 1/4 teaspoon. I have also added 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla as well as some cinnamon. I recommend also letting the batter stand for at least 5 minutes before cooking.

I doubled the batch, and it turned out excellent. I did make a few modifications that made the batch perfect. (Remember this was doubled) (1) teaspoon vanilla (2) tablespoons of sugar (2) cups of buttermilk, the rest of the liquid was water.

I agree with the comments about reducing the salt (I cut it down to 1/8 tsp). Other than that, this is an excellent recipe! Very fluffy pancakes; the whole family loved them.

Generally, this recipe is wonderful, however I have to give it only two stars because of the amount of salt. I read another review that mentioned how salty the pancakes ended up tasting, but so many others wrote that they wouldn't change a thing. I wanted to taste the recipe first as is before deciding to make adjustments. I regret not heeding the warnings of the other reviewer! I usually pile salt on everything I eat, yet these pancakes are way too salty, even for me. With a reduced (maybe halved?) quantity of salt, these would be magnificent! The texture is wonderful and fluffy.
