Excellent recipe! My kids ate it up which shows its a winner! I used 3 regular sized apples and used applesauce instead of oil in the mix. I also shook a bunch of cinnamon into the dough. I made a sugar glaze out of powdered sugar, milk and lemon extract. The only problem I had was getting the temperature just right so they wouldn't burn.

This was excellent! I doubled the batter with the same amount of apples. Added 1T of cinnamon to the base recipe. Then instead of sprinkling with cinnamon sugar, used a glaze of 2C confectioners sugar to 6 Tablespoons of milk. The kids & hubby were begging to add to our favorites file!

The only thing I did differently with this recipe is add some cinnamon to the batter. My hubby and 7 year old loved these but I was disappointed. They weren't sweet enough for my taste.

Obviously, I must have done something wrong with this recipe. I did everything as stated, but they came out really soft and not very tasty!

They were ok, but not much flavor. I would suggest adding either some apple pie spice or nutmeg to the batter. Kids liked them. Very easy to make and quick.
