Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/8 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute onion, celery and garlic until soft and translucent. Stir in ketchup, lemon juice, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
