My youngest son and I followed the recipe exactly, using butter flavored shortening. I did make a little more of the cinnamon/sugar mix and I made it heavy on the cinnamon as I REALLY coat my cookie balls. This cookie turned out nicely--just what a Snickerdoodle should be. NOTE: I got 36 cookies out of one recipe. My cookies were just right at exactly nine minutes.
Wasn't crazy about the taste it didn't taste like my usual snickerdoodles ..wont be using again

My son is in the Army National Guard, stationed in Egypt and his favorite cookies were always store bought snicker doodles. I made this recipe and sent them to him for Christmas and him along with alot of other soldiers loved them. Thank you for letting me make some of our U.S. Soldiers happy.
very good and easy recipe. For Christmas cookies I mix the cinnamon and white sugar with green or red sugar crystals. They're one of the family favorites.
This cookie was good. We read one of the reviews and substitued the butter shortening for the butter. It is a nice light cookie with a good texture. Thank you for sharing. This will be my snicker doodle recipe from here on out.
Excellent! I made a batch with 1/2 tsp of salt, and I thought it was even better (I had used unsalted butter).
Amazing! I was concerned when rolling in the cinnamon sugar mixture that the sugar wasn't sticking enough but that wasn't the case. They are delicious.
