OK HERE'S THE DEAL WITH THESE POTATOES!! IF YOUR FAMILY LOVES SOUR CREAM- THE WILL DEMOLISH THESE POTATOES!! IF YOUR HUSBAND OR DAD DOES NOT LIKE SOURCREAM (LIKE MINE), THEN THEY WILL NOT LIKE THEM- THERE IS NONE OF THEM LEFT THOUGH!! MY SISTER ATE 3 BOWLS- MY BROTHER COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY WERE INSTANT!! AS FOR ME THE COOK, THEY ARE VERY EASY, YOU CAN MAKE THEM 2 DAYS AHEAD AND LEAVE IN FRIG TO BAKE YOUR DAY OF- THIS IS A BIG, BIG PLUS!!! MOST THE INGREDIENTS IN IT ARE ALSO ON SALE AT HOLIDAY TIME- ANY OTHER TIME THAT'S A LOT OF SOURCREAM AND CREAM CHEESE AND BUTTER- ALL IN ALL, WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, IT'S A GREAT FAMILY RECIPE!!!

Taste like box potatoes

These were really good! I have never made instant potatoes before but I decided to use this recipe for my husband's office Christmas Party. I didn't feel like taking the time to peel and boil potatoes. These were a snap to make, and were delicious. I added shredded cheese on top. I will make these again!

I recently made this recipe for a birthday party. I was very pleased with the outcome. The potatoes were fantastic! I did add a bit more milk and butter than the recipe called for and sprinkled bacon bits on top before baking for something extra. They were a hit!

Made this one yesterday when my daughter, husband and kids were here. Easy to make and VERY high in fat. It was OK, but I could tell it had been made from boxed potatoes. The family said it was good but nobody had seconds and we had a lot left over. Reheated the leftovers the next night...not so good. I think there are better potatoe casseroles than this one.

I made these for Chrismas dinner becuse I was short of time. Everyone raved about the potatoes. When I finally fessed up and told them they were boxed, the whole family started laughing as my mother-in-law would NEVER use boxed potatoes.
