The cake part is a straight forward white cake recipe. The frosting has way too much cornstarch. If I were to do it again I would use half or less of the cornstarch. The cake part lends itself to adding extras, ie raspberries or such.

I wasn't crazy about the gelatinous texture of the frosting, though others might think it's great. Next time, I think I would use a different frosting.
