  1. Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1 cup. Add to gelatin; stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Add 2 cups of the whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until mixture is very thick and will mound.
  2. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
  3. Top with the remaining whipped topping just before serving. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

This is so yummy!! Use sugar free jello and light or fat free cool whip so it's not so bad. Very good. Everyone loved. Will be making again soon.

This was just okay. It had a slight chemical flavor. I think it might have been from the gelatin I had. It was a generic brand. Might try again with Jello brand. I made my crust with the graham cracker crust recipe from this site.

The Jello did not thicken with the ice. After the original ice melted I added more to see if it would thicken and it did not. It wouldn't even set up in the freezer.

I used strawberry/banana jello, tastes better the second day
