This was very good. I used a little extra vinegar, cooked my meatballs in the oven an extra 5 minutes, skipped the "cover and cook until thickened" step of the sauce, reduced the cornstarch a bit, and added crushed red pepper flakes to taste. I thought I'd miss the garlic, but I didn't really notice a lack of garlic in the finished product. I do think in the future I'd use real ginger and not powdered, and I will sprinkle the herbs onto the meat before beginning the mixing (because I disliked having to stop and wash the meat off my hands mid-mixing) but otherwise, this is a very tasty recipe! Cooking times were spot on (I cooked my meatballs longer only because I made them a bit bigger!) Thanks for the recipe, we enjoyed it!
