I followed the recipe generally, but used sweet Italian sausage which I think gave the added flavor it was lacking, and instead of diced tomatoes, I used stewed tomatoes and diced up the large chunks. Didn't add chilis, and didn't need them or any other spice. This is SUPER flavorful. I will def. make this again!

I used frozen chopped onions, omitted the green pepper, added frozen green peas, used regular diced tomatoes, added kosher salt, pepper, and mrs.dash. After I served it over brown rice and topped it with lots of hot sauce. I have a feeling it will taste even better tomorrow. I may cook this again because it's low calorie and easy to make.

This was a god one pot meal but I do agree with the other review that something was missing to tie the flavors together. I used diced tomatoes with Italian spices instead of the tomatoes with green chili. Good overall.

It is a wholesome, somewhat tasty meal that is a snap to put together. Prep takes longer than it states if you're going to cook the sausage. I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned for a fresher flavor. There was something missing that would tie the flaovr all together.
