Very tasty! I used the 3 kernel method to see when the oil was done and shook the pot every 3 seconds as recommended and it turned out perfect!

My second attempt at this recipe was a success! I did the 3 kernel test, added the sugar and made sure it was dissolved, then added the popcorn. Shake, shake, shake and perfect kettle corn! If I don't divide it up into seperate bowls I will eat it all myself. YUM!

I really did not expect this to taste like the kettle corn you get at the local fairs or farmer markders But let me tell you it sure did. So easy to make it was crazy. I used my Whirley Pop and I used coconut oil and it was amazing. Make sure you do you use the 3 popcorn rule. I could not stop eating it. I have to figure out how to make it so there are less calories, since I WANT to make it a couple times a week. Great recipe.

Excellent recipe. I used the 3 kernel rule and a Whirley-pop. After the initial kernels popped, I added the sugar and "whirled" it a bit, then added the rest of the corn and whirled it constantly. Turned out nice and crispy. All of the corn was evenly coated. I added a few sprinkles of salt when it was done. I can't believe kettle corn is so easy! Edit - I now add salt (less than a tsp) with the sugar. The salt adheres with the sugar. Also, like other reviewers stated, quality popcorn is key!

My version is a little sweeter - I use 1/3 cup sugar instead of 1/4. After it's all popped I sprinkle a little sugar on top & a few splashes of salt to give it more of a kettle corn flavor! BIG hit at this house (I have a 2 & 3 yr old)!!!

WOW! Doubled the recipe as we are popcorn junkies. Used extra virgin olive oil, the "3 kennel method" and frequent shaking and it came out perfectly! Thanks.

I love this recipe and have made it ample times. Tonight I ran out of Vegetable oil so I used coconut oil instead... Wowzers! Totally yummy accidental creation. Hope someone tries this yummy adaptation.
