This recipe is OK-- but it's not an AUTHENTIC Ky. Hot Brown-- first, there are no mushrooms in a Hot Brown. ALso, the turkey (and ham, if you choose) should be added to the toast first-- THEN the white sauce, then a liberal amount of shredded cheddar cheese. Then, on top of the whole thing, add the sliced tomatoes, and top it off with the bacon (the traditional presentation is 2 strips, criss-crossed) Then place under the broiler until browned as much as you like, and bubbly. I've seen it finished with a sprinkling of grated parmesan and a little parsley for color, as well.
