Original Recipe Yield 12 servings

Ingredients

1/4 cup margarine or butter
1 (10 ounce) package regular marshmallows
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
6 cups KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal

Directions

In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
Stir in vanilla. Stir in KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal until well coated. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9-inch) pan.
Allow mixture to cool slightly. Make caterpillar sections, using small round cookie cutter, cut cereal into circles. Place eight to nine sections next to each other to form the caterpillar. Decorate with icing to make antennae, eyes, feet, and spots on the caterpillar.

Stove Top Method:
Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.
