"This is a spicy meat hot sauce perfect on hot dogs or hamburgers. Here in upstate New York you grow up putting meat hot sauce on your burgers, red and white hots. Adjust the amount of heat to your taste; the recipe as written is pretty spicy. I put the hot sauce in small freezer-safe containers and freeze for later use." — Kathy F.

Directions

Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is crumbly and no longer pink, about 10 minutes; drain excess grease and transfer ground beef to a large saucepan. Mix tomato juice, yellow mustard, black pepper, hot pepper sauce, chili powder, red pepper flakes, and salt into the beef.
Bring the sauce to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring frequently.

Without a doubt the best Hot meat sauce I have ever tasted ! I made it exactly as written. It has Just the right amount of spice and even a little kick. We cannot eat hot dogs without it and this is a staple at every cook out. I also froze it in several small containers and use when needed. Everyone loves this recipe! 5 stars all the way

"THE BOMB" Thankyou thankyou. This recipe is marvelous as written. I held back on the black pepper and red pepper some. I think it would of been better if I would of just added them. This stuff is pretty hot. Whoever doesnt like hot stuff isn't going to like this anyway, so go for it. This reminds me of Betty's world Famous Hotdogs sauce.
