I would like to thank Kristen so much for putting this recipe here so everyone can share it! It was my first time cooking a turkey and everyone loved it!! I will be making it again for X-mas. Juicy is right when you wrote the title of this recipe. I was really happy with the outcome and so were my guests. Thank you so much for sharing. It was easy and tasted awesome!! by: Sonia Miami,Florida 11/2009

This was great so moist and juicy even after 5 hours of cooking... we did substitute the champagne for ginger ale but was still so good... and the gravy from the drippings to DIE for! We will be making this again in the near future.

This was a great recipe. Easy to follow and VERY tasty. The only thing i changed was that I rubbed the turkey with salt the night before and soaked it in water overnight (in the fridge). The next morning, I rinsed it off, rubbed it with butter, then followed the recipe. I also put it in a bag. When serving, I served it with orange slices and dribbling the orange juices over it only made it yummier. Seriously, the flavor of this turkey was spectacular. I didn't really find that it was super moist, not sure if I might have done something wrong. Don't get me wrong, it was great, just not incredibly moist as I hoped after the rave reviews. Still worth it though, I will certainly use this recipe again. The leftovers were phenomenal. The stuffing made with the juices was delicious--and I don't even like stuffing!

I made this turkey yesterday.. It was great! The only thing I changed was that we didn't have any champagne.. So in addition to the chicken broth, my husband decided to add a bottle of Mikes Light Hard Lemonade to it... This turkey was moist and very flavor-filled. I did find thaqt it had to cook longer than 3 hours, and I upped the temperature after a while, but we were in no rush to eat do it was not an issue. Thanks so much for this recipe, I will definitely make it again next year!

It turned out really moist and delicious. I rubbed the outside with olive oil and shot up the bird with a butter/tony chachere's injection. Since I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to turkey's I suggest that if you want to attempt this make sure that you buy a thermometer and check the turkey before you pull it out instead of following the recipe time. I goofed and pulled the turkey out before it was done. It didn't ruin it but I had to put it back in the oven and it turned out delicious anyways!

The turkey did turn out pretty juicy, but my family was not crazy about the flavor. It had some sort of twang to it and I wish I had tried the recipe before using it on Thanksgiving. I followed the recipe exactly except for using an oven bag.

I set up the turkey the night before and popped it in the preheated oven on Thanksgiving morning. Everyone loved this turkey and it was VERY moist.
