This biscuit recipe is good, and made nice big moist biscuits. They were slightly bitter or salty, so next time I may add a little less salt, but overall they were great.
I blended the dry ingredients first, and then added the shortening, and blended it together with my fingers and then added the milk.
The secret to fluffy biscuits is to work the dough as little as possible, so as soon as everything was moistened, I patted the dough out on a lightly floured board, and cut with a biscuit cutter.
I sprayed the baking pan with cooking spray, but if I'm cooking bacon, my grandpa- who's from the South always told me when I make biscuits, to put a little bacon grease in the pan and to lay the biscuits in the pan and turn them over so both sides have a coating of bacon grease.
I used these biscuits to make ham egg and cheese biscuits, and they turned out great! Thanks for posting the recipe!
