These were so good!! They were a perfect side to our dinner tonight. I will have to try them with gravy for breakfast. I will make these often.

oops.. i totally got confused with the temp. I thought it was 220º F .. so i started baking them and 15 min later they were still raw.. so i set the oven to 350º F and baked another 15 min. they are still really good!! they didnt rise that much but I think thats because I havent dominated the biscuit skill yet. I will upload a picture later. thanks j.p!

Tastes just like KFC biscuits. Very easy to make. I love to use them for breakfast sandwiches with eggs, sausage, and cheese. Delicious.

A good, basic recipe. Nice if you want your biscuits a little larger. Next time I will definitely leave the dough to chill overnight.

Just perfect. No deviations. And I am usually a mess when it comes to biscuits.

Very good and very easy! I made mini biscuits using a champagne glass to cut and served them as appetizers with apple butter. The only change I made was using half butter and half shortening.

I've always had trouble making biscuits...either too dry and crumbly, or hard as a rock. This recipe came out excellent... they were moist and held together nicely without being at all hard. Thank you for a great recipe.

These were the biggest, fluffiest biscuits I've ever made from scratch. I'm never going to buy them premade again!

Um... wow! These biscuits were awesome! I used half spelt flour and half kamut flour, replaced the milk with rice milk and omitted the sugar because of the rice milk's natural sweetness. Although I wasn't sure that these were going to work out because of my changes, I went for it anyways... and man-oh-man am I glad I did! These are delicious and went terrifically with our beef stew... deeee-lish!

I made the recipe as written except I subbed buttermilk for the regular milk because that is how my Mom always made her biscuits. My problem with biscuits has always been the ratio of how much of everything I need to put in! I thought the recipe had a good flavor and they did rise nicely so I gave the recipe a 4 star rating. The actual biscuit was probably a 3 star, but, that is entirely my fault because I think I overworked the dough and they were a little tough. I'll just have to keep practicing!!

We make these all the time and love them. My son calls them PacMan biscuits, because they raise up so high like PacMans mouth. Delicious.
