These power bars r similar to the ones I make at home, But I use some peanut butter and fresh shredded apple instead of apple sauce. That really gives it a nice taste & fragrance. If people want 2 follow this recipe it is a perfect 5* and those on a diet or health concious should deff go 4 it wit out a 2nd thought.Thanks.

Soo much better than store bought, really worth the small amount of time to make, and very adaptable to what you have on hand.

I love these! Say goodbye to store bought bars! You can make these with so many variations. Use a variety of dried fruits, nuts and even chocolate chips and coconut flakes. I used Briar Rabbits's Molasses Honey for another tweek. Yum!

These bars are very tasty -- and there is no comparison to anything you buy in a store for power bars. I tend to add a lot more nuts and additional vanilla flavored protein powder mix plus a bit more cinnamon to the recipe and it turns out very well.

This is a great base recipe!! I usually double the recipe and make a few changes. I use egg whites instead of a whole egg (1/4 cup egg whites = 1 egg), add a mashed banana, add coconut, and a mixture of flaxseed meal, wheat bran, and wheat germ. I also add chocolate chips to half of the mixture for my boyfriend. Thanks!!

I wouldn't make these again. They are more of a cookie consistency, and don't hold their shape/crumble apart. Just a weird texture overall - not crunchy or chewy.

These turned out pretty bland. Perhaps adding a cup of chocolate chips to the mix would make them taste better.

I had a hard time getting mine to stick together and cutting them into bars, but it didn't matter, because they were gobbled up immediately. Next time I will use less flour and try adding different seeds.

Wonderful flavor! I had to use a slightly different cereal, as well as just raisins instead of mixed dried fruit. The honey adds the perfect type of sweetness to such a healthy snack. This recipe is easy to play with, I will definately be using it again!
