I made this recipe yesterday and after reading reviews and looking in the pantry, I decided to sub chicken broth for the wine and regular mushroom soup. I melted everything in the crock pot on low and then added the chicken breasts - frozen. I thought it would take extra time, but at 4 hours I checked and the chicken was done and pulled apart easily.
This was very rich, and good over rice. My only complaint was a slightly sweet taste that wasn't bad but distracting. I used Zesty Italian dressing so it's possible it had extra sugar. If I make it again, I'll go with the regular Italian.
