I made this for dinner tonight. I used the recipe as a start and made some modifications based upon preference and what was in the pantry. I used 1/2 can tomato sauce instead of the soup, added a can of plain diced tomatoes, increased seasonings to 1/3 tsp, added a pinch of garlic powder and used less sausage and added some chicken. I didn't use the celery or carrots. The results were quite tasty!

I tried out this recipe because I needed something to make in a pinch and had all the ingredients on hand. It really turned out the way I expected it! It was a nice, simple and hearty meal for my picky family. I made the recipe as written except that I added garlic because we love it so much. I also used risoto (and then cooked it long enough to absorb the liquids according to the package directions. I also boiled down the liquid a little longer because I wanted more of a skillet dinner rather than a stew. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing! We'll be making this again!

Quite tasty, but the tomato soup was a very overpowering flavor.
