This was pretty good. I used bell pepper instead of green beans, refrigerated whole wheat tortellini, and I added garlic, onion, and mushrooms.

This soup was surprisingly tasty as well as filling. We took another reviewer's advice and substituted fresh baby spinach for green beans, which I don't think belong in soup. Spicy sausage ended up giving it a nice kick as it was all we had in the freezer. I would definitely make this soup again, but no green beans.

Made this last night using turkey Italian sausage w/out casings; also added some leftover zucchini and yellow squash, plus mushrooms sautee'd in EVOO & butter with Italian seasonings, then splashed with balsamic vinegar. I used the mushrooms as a garnish on top of the soup. It's a keeper, Loved it! Great recipe!

Loved it! I only use chicken sausage, it worked wonderfully! I did add about a 1/2 tsp. basil, 1/2 tsp. oregano, sea salt and fresh ground black pepper.

Mmmm... I'm not a big green bean fan so i substituted frozen spinach. I didn't have chicken broth on hand so i just used a vegetable food seasoning (Vegeta) Will definately make again. Next time will add chopped carrots for more veggies.

Fast and easy soup! Made it to go with cheese biscuits. Turned out great and my boyfriend appreciated the warmth after working all day in the cold and wet snow!

On a cold and snowy evening I found this delicious sausage soup. I made it with some German Smoked Sausage, added some cut up onions and garlic to the browning process, a whole package of frozen tortellini (13 oz) and a 32 oz. box of chicken soup, added the green beans and wow..it was fabulous, and easy and both my husband and I had seconds. I added this one to my recipe box and will serve it next time for company!!

Very good. We did beef it up a little with some of the suggestions, but the general idea was the same. I've never done anything quite like this, and I'm really glad I found this recipe! I added diced tomatoes since we still have an abundance in the garden as well as some onion and garlic. We had a mix of sweet and hot turkey Italian sausage, and I only had beef tortellini. All in all, a great dinner paired with a nice salad and garlic bread.

Pretty good! The thing I loved the most about this soup is that it's so quick and easy to make. After making it once as written, I did agree with others that it could use a little garlic. Also, I'm not a big green bean fan, so I now omit the green beans and throw in chopped kale instead. This also adds greatly to the nutrional value of this dish!

I loved how fast and easy it was to make this for a quick lunch. I used baby spinach instead of the green beans and the refrigerated cheese stuffed tortellini instead of dry. Thank you for the recipe!
