Original Recipe Yield 1 2-pound loaf
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (115 degrees F/46 degrees C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups oat flour
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons vital wheat gluten flour
  • 4 ounces macadamia nuts, ground
  • 2 tablespoons fast-rising yeast

Directions

  1. Combine water, olive oil, honey, and salt in a bread machine. Mix the oat flour, all-purpose flour, gluten flour, and ground macadamia nuts in a large bowl until well blended. Sprinkle the flour mixture on top of the water mixture in the bread machine, making sure to cover the water. Make two indentations in the flour mixture, and spoon 1 tablespoon of yeast into each indentation.
  2. Select the Express Bake setting on the bread machine for a 2-pound loaf of bread; press start.

  • Be sure to add the olive oil first so that the honey will come off the measuring spoon easier.
  • If you don't have a bread maker you can add the water, honey, and yeast to a large non-metal bowl and let it sit for ten minutes. Then add in the salt and dry ingredients. Knead, let the dough rise, and bake in the oven at 350 for one hour.
