Pretty good. As a personal taste, I'm still trying to get past the texture of ground turkey! I also tried a burger recipe with grated apple and rice. My only subs on this recipe were to use finely diced onion instead of grated, and fennel seed instead of allspice. I might try this again but use quinoa instead. I also tried the Turkey Quinoa Meatloaf and it was the best texture using ground turkey that I've tried so far. Might also add a little more heat, such as red pepper flakes or cayenne, but really the seasoning is subjective. This is a great idea for those of use who love sausage but need to watch the cholesterol. Thanks, Linda, for sharing your recipe.

I wanted a hearty breakfast, but had no sausage or bacon on hand. I did have ground turkey so I gave this a shot. I was missing All Spice, so I made a little cinnamon/nutmeg mixture and it worked out. I think it would be best with All Spice though. The apple was a nice touch and I think I will add it to my turkey meatball recipie too. My stepson said it was the best sausage he has eaten.

Excellent recipe. Didn't have sage or thyme on hand -- great anyway! My husband and I eat low-carb. I'll definitely use this one again!!

This is a superb recipe. I changed nothing except used a pear instead of an apple (as that was all I had). My husband who never eats fruti and meat together didn't even know there was fruit *in* his meat. My daughter who doesn't eat turkey (which she doesn't like) ate it. The seasonings are perfect.

Very, VERY good. I skipped the rice only because I didn't need it this time around, it was super without it. My husband will sit and say how he dislikes ground turkey but I'll tell you, he could not tell this was made from turkey. This was excellent and will become my new homemade turkey breakfast sausage recipe. This would be really good too with sauteed apples on the side.

Quick, Painless, Tasty! A few things I noticed when cooking. -Make sure you thoroughly cook the rice with enough water. My rice came out under-cooked and its texture was too prominent in the patties. -Thinner is better. A 1/2 inch is a lot thinner than you think. Think pancake- not hamburger. Enjoy!

Wow! Best turkey sausage recipe yet! Nice and spicy. Didn't even taste like turkey. Only substitution I made was that I used grated pear because I didn't have apple. Very yummy!
