Excellent! This cake definitely lives up to its name . . . "heavenly." I wanted a light, white cake that I could make for my mom's birthday, so I chose this one and layered it with pistachio pudding and frosted it with whipped cream. Delicious!

I was very suprised that this turned out so good! The batter seemed really thick even when added extra milk and as it was baking, it smelt terrible. I was planning on trashing it. But when it came out and after cooling I thought i'd do a quick taste just to see where it went wrong...it tasted GREAT! It baked beautifully and was very moist! I added 3/4 cup extra milk and extra vanilla extract.

I followed this recipe to the letter and it just was not good. The cake tasted more like a bisquit and was not that flavorful. Not very forgiving and crumbled when I was working with it. Don't think I will try this one again.

Very good! These just came out of the oven (I made cupcakes- 20 minutes at 350, and the toothpick came out clean). They haven't cooled yet, but they're quite tasty! I added the extra half cup of milk. Looking forward to filling them with raspberry preserves and topping them with chocolate frosting! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is quite labor intensive. But worth it!

I'm not a fan of white cake and i loved this cake. I didn't even get it quite right and I loved it. Gave it five stars cuz I know if I had done the meringue right it would have been even better. Awesome recipe, will definitely use over and over!

This cake would have been great if I'd bypassed the instruction to use parchment paper, which I could not separate from the cake. It tasted good, but the whole thing was a mess!

This recipe is great! I added the extra 1/2 cup of milk just as others suggested and used only vanilla extract in one cake and orange flavoring in the other. Add some cream cheese frosting and it's perfection!

I made this to see how it tasted and I have to say this recipe rocks. I will be making this for my husband 29th birthday this year. I didn't try the extra milk but I will. 10+ thumbs up
