We LOVE this recipe! And I don't hesitate to say "yes" when my kids ask for more! This was the first time we made these and made it exactly as the recipe said. We used large bananas, so had to bake the cookies for about 30 minutes. Next time, we are going to experiment and add spices and other ingredients! I think pecans would taste great in these! I'm so excited to have found a healthy cookie recipe that is also easy for my kids to make and experiment with on their own.

Delicious! I used someone else's custom version using honey and apple sauce instead of dates and oil but I added just about everything! I put in coconut flakes, chocolate chips, raisins, sunflower seeds and flax seeds. An amazingly healthy snack for my daughter but still so yummy!

I love these cookies. They're almost like chewy granola bars. I think this recipe is a good base. You can pretty much add whatever you want into it. I usually add chopped walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon. I'm sure any dried fruit would be fine. Next time I will try craisins and almonds. I've also made these with chopped pieces of apple and applesauce as well, and they turned out great. I also don't put any oil in it because it just makes it greasy. I make them into really small round bite sizes by rolling in a small ball and squishing flat with my palms. Then, I bake them at 300 degrees for about 15 minutes. These don't flatten out when you bake them. They stay the same size, so you don't have to worry about leaving spaces between each cookie.

These cookies were just okay and I doubt I'll make them again. They weren't done after 20 minutes and I ended up doubling the cooking time just to get the edges to brown up. The middles of the cookies still seemed raw and cold like they need to bake longer. I cooked a few until they were crunchy and they were a little better but still not great.

Amazing...sooo good with applesauce instead of oil, a few dark chocolate chips, dried prunes and apricots, and a dash of cinnamon. So healthy and definitely satisfies my sweet craving! Mmmm

Great cookies. I make them very often, vegan, gluten and wheat free, no added sugar. Can even eat them for breakfast, dessert or snack. So easy and inexpensive. Couldnt ask for a better cookie. I also add 1 tbsp flax seed in 3 tbsp or so of water in the blender then mix into the recipe as this acts as a binder and they can come apart after cooking without this. Also I add cinnamon and then figs or raisins or dates. Any kind of nut. Great recipe!

I really liked these cookies. I made them with cranberries instead of dates, with applesauce instead of oil, and added a dash of cinnamon. The banana flavor really came out nicely and had a "banana's foster" kind of flavor. My husband and I like to eat very healthy and this was a great option at only 40cal per cookie. Obviously they aren't as tasty as a big chocolate chunk brownie or something, but for a healthy alternative I really enjoyed them! Compared to a bad for you cookie I'd give 3 stars, compared to most health food I'd give 5 stars, so I settled on a 4 :)

For a healthy cookie recipe, I don't have too much to complain about it as written. It's a good little snack and plenty sweet. I used craisins instead of dates since we're not big fans of the latter. I think it would be much better with the addition of cinnamon, so will do that next time. Thanks for the good start for a healthy cookie option! :)

I guess the key word is healthy. They weren't bad, but you can't expect a traditional cookie taste.
