excellent blend of flavors. If you dont have time to toast the nuts, try the packaged glazed walnuts...really yummy!

This salad was the star of my dinner, and the other items were good too. I used feta instead of blue cheese and sprinkled with mixed cheeses but otherwise followed the recipe. The dressing is AMAZING - simple and DELICIOUS! Have already had requests to make this again.

I made this salad yesterday for a neighborhood get together. Followed recipe exactly, and with rave reviews here on allrecipes... I thought it would be better. (don't like to usually give low marks) Maybe I wasn't crazy about the walnut oil in the dressing and should try making again with olive oil. Otherwise I won't make again.

Great salad and dressing was awesome, too! I did not like premixing it! I think it would have presented a bit nicer if you layered it!

Awesome! I used apples instead of tomatoes and I think that was key!

Loved it and the dressing was very easy to make and delicious. I used the AR Spicy Glazed Pecans on it and that was amazing!

Made this for a big family barbecue - the salad bowl was empty by the time dinner was over. I too, used olive oil and balsamic vinegar but followed the rest of the recipe to a T. A definite keeper! Thanks!

Really a nice fresh, crisp salad...only thing I changed was the cheese,...used a sharp cheddar instead of the bleu (don't care for) ,I also added 1 Med-size red apple (like Courtland) and cut that into chunks...goes real well with the rest of the salad

This was so delicious. Omit the onion, tomato, and avocado, and it's a perfect small sweet starter salad to kick off a nice spicy soup. Good with diced green apple too.
