  1. In a large, resealable plastic bag, combine soy sauce, red wine, ginger, garlic and black pepper. Seal, and shake to mix ingredients. Add salmon fillets, squeeze out excess air, and seal. Refrigerate for 1 hour, turning frequently so all sides get coated with the marinade.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium high heat and lightly oil grate.
  3. Place salmon on hot grill, flesh side down. Cover and cook until grill marks form, about 3-5 minutes. Carefully turn salmon and cook until just opaque throughout, about 3-5 minutes longer. Remove from grill and serve.

My husband said if there was a 6 rating, he would rate it a 6. He said this is the best fish recipe he's ever had. I don't even eat fish, and I tried this (very hesitantly) and I even liked it a lot! We made it exactly as the recipe stated.

A little salty for my taste. An okay recipe. Thanks for letting me try

Some of the best seasoning I've ever had on Salmon. It allows the flavor the fish to come through, but provides a really nice savory accent flavor.

Tender, juicy, tasty, and with no fishy flavors, this is in-deed a 5-star dish. The slight additional flavor of the grill gives it the outdoors impression needed to get your mind out of the kitchen even if it's raining outside - it was raining when I tasted it! The marinating is definitely required or else salmon won't turn into a savory, tender, and flaky palate teaser but will remain just that: fish.

I really loved this dish. simple and very flavoursome. My husband cant get enough of it . I substitured white wine instead of the red .

Great salmon! Even my picky kids and non-fish eating husband ate this one.

Tender and very flavorful without masking the great taste of salmon.

Wow! Super juicy, tender and delicious. I didn't have red wine on hand and substituted the wine with balsamic vinegar. How can something so simple to make taste so good. Thanks for a keeper.
