30 minutes???? I tried it according to directions, as I do most recipes. I also tried soaking the corn...against my better judgement. I only have 3 words for both. NO NO NO! What is it with people and mushy corn? If you like hot, crisp corn, try this. Do exactly as this recipe shows (except salt and pepper...that can be put on afterwards to EACH PERSON'S INDIVIDUAL TASTE), until the foil. Do not use foil. Quickly dunk in water, which will give it a steaming effect...DO NOT SOAK UNLESS YOU LIKE MUSHY CORN...It will cook much faster (about 10-12 minutes will do), and turn frequently so that burning of husks is less...but some is good for flavor, and will slightly brown some of the corn.
I have corn feeds throughout the summer because people bring the corn for me to cook. For some, it is the only time they eat corn as they cannot bring themselves to eat it any other way.
