A simple yet very rewarding/forfilling recipe. I added a few tea spoons of lime juice (personal preference) with a tiny bit of salt to keep apple from turnning yellow (I work slowly...) and turned out very well for us. Brought it to work + EVERYBODY loved it!! Thanks!!

This was the best pie! I used frozen apples and had no problem thickening it up.

So easy, so few ingredients - WONDERFUL. I have an apple tree in my backyard and never made an apple pie before. This was EASY. Love the few ingredients that I had in the pantry. I've made this twice already - second pie I just put the entire top crust (skipped the lattice cutting). Husband loved it, but he did request some cinnamon - easy accomodation for him. Thanks for this simple recipe.

I thought all apple pies were the same; I was wrong. This one is truly different and the BEST I've ever had. My family devoured it. I feel lucky to have found it because I know it'll be a family tradition in my household for years to come. I didn't make a lattice because I don't feel comfortable doing that yet, so I just mixed the apples with the sugar mixture before pouring it into the crust, then topped with the remaining crust and cut slits like a usual pie. It was fantastic.

I made this pie for a bbq with friends. My husband and one of my friends told me it was the best apple pie they have every had. My husband said it was the best pie I have ever made and I make a lot of pies. I made it exactly like the recipe only adding a little cinnamon to my apples. It is truly delicious and such a beautiful pie

Fantastic pie! Coworkers told me it was the best apple pie they've ever had!! I did add a teaspoon of cinnamon, two shakes of nutmeg, and a 1/2 cup of walnut chips to the apples though. I also recommend making the sauce AFTER everthing else is already ready, so you can just pour it on. The first time I made it, I did the sauce first, and it cooled before I could pour it on, didn't make for such a great pie! The second time I did it last, and it was FANTASTIC!
