EXCELLENT! I used this sauce for a ham and scallop dish that guests raved about. Didn't have sherry on hand and used about 3 c of mixed cheeses. Turned out very creamy and delicious thank you for a great basic cheese sauce recipe.

This sauce was wonderful! I left out the sherry because I didn't have any... I mixed it into a pot of noodles and left over ham from Thanksgiving!!! Thanks for sharing!! :o) I will use this again!!

Yummy. I used monterey jack instead of swiss and white wine instead of sherry - skipped the dry mustard. Very good!

I'm giving it three for effort. Although my sauce thickened properly, it came out grainy. The flavor was not apealing as well, which I found odd because I like sherry in food. Perhaps it needed to be cooked longer.

This was really good. I added extra cheddar so it was 3/4 c each of cheddar and Swiss/needed a little more cheese to balance out all the sherry.....but only a minor tweak.

This recipe is simple and great!! I usually make my own thing but I tried something new. I tossed in alot more cheddar cheese than called for. I did not have any swiss cheese on hand. But a success!!
