This was OK - it turned out a kind of buttery, sweet sauce. The sauce toned down the brightness of the carrots, which isn't really a good thing. My family ate it, but it was far from a 'star dish'. In the future, I would instead opt for the much easier and more delicious method of just cooking the carrots in water with some brown sugar (glazed carrots).
