Garlic Cheddar Chicken Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 8)

I made this tonight and it was delicious, but I had to make some changes due to some pantry limitations. I used crushed up French's Onions instead of bread crumbs, a Mexican mixture of cheese, and had to go half and half on the butter with olive oil. It stayed pretty crispy (on top) with the onion mixture.

I used margarine instead of butter and a little less than the recipe calls for. I also cut back on the amount of parmesan. The cheddar doesn't stick to the chicken very well but the overall flavours are outstanding! I like that this is all done in the oven and produces a flavourful, moist chicken breast!

Mmmm! One of our go-to recipes! I happen to LOVE this one! It's easy and yum-yum-yummy!!! ** Worth noting - I've starting cooking ours on a cookie cooling rack that I lay across the foil-lined baking sheet. This keeps the chicken up out of the grease and allows both sides to get/stay crispy.

Instead of bread crumbs, I crushed wheat crackers. It gives it a cruncher taste and easier to keep on the chicken without falling off not like flour and bread crumbs.

Excellent. Very tender, moist & tasty. My only problem was with having to cook the breasts 45 minutes vice the 30 cited in the recipe. The chicken breasts were nothing special in regards to size either, just your standard frozen ones in a bag I got from Costco. This recipe still deserves 5 stars.

Delicious! Instead of minced garlic i use galic powded mix w butter. I didnt use salt. everything else was perfect. thank you.
