Fudge Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 1)

This was my first time making fudge. I had an idea of the great fudge my Grandmother used to make. This recipe got me about half way there. I used 2 cups white chocolate chips, 2 cups milk chocolate chips. I didn't know that the fudge needs to be "dried" after it comes out of the fridge in the morning. I suggest letting it air out another 8 hours on the counter before cutting into it if you want clean cuts/perfect squares. It had the consistency of my Grandmother's fudge but I think it does need some semi-sweet chocolate chips to make it taste more fudgey/less frosting taste.

I loved how easy this recipe is, although I used I double boiler to melt everything in because I don't like using a microwave for chocolate. I changed this slightly by adding 1/8 tsp salt, 2 Tbs bourbon and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla. Just checked, and tasted, it after a night of setting and it is pretty good. I get that it's a fudge. For anyone who thinks this is too dark, use milk chocolate chips, or a combination of both.

I love this fudge! It is so creamy and smooth. It is so easy to make. I love to cook. Your recipe is so easy to make since we could make it in the microwave. We gave it to a friend and she said she wanted the recipe because it was the best fudge ever. Thanks for the recipe! The Chocolate Lovers

Delicious! My family can't keep their hands off. I read some of the other reviews and only microwaved for a maximum of 3min stopping every 30sec to stir, and added a splash of vanilla. Almond slivers make a good topping to add just before cooling, or stir in during the microwaving.

this was less like fudge and more like a soft, delicious chocolate bar ( i used milk chocolate). Going to try a more traditional recipe. Thanks for posting.

This was my very first time making homemade fudge, and it turned out a bit better than I expected. The only changes I made were that I combined the ingredients over the stovetop instead of in the microwave and I added vanilla extract to a half batch of regular fudge with walnuts, and the other half I used peppermint extract. It turned out a bit grainy, but I read in the reviews that melting the butter first helps to get rid of a grainy texture, so I'll try that next time. I do plan on making this again.

Thanks for this recipe. Quick, easy and tasty. I used milk chocolate chips and also added 1 tsp instant coffee granules right before mixing and pouring into the cooling dish. Tasted awesome. I will make this over and over.
