OK, I made this smoothie again today and added a few tablespoons of honey instead of Equal and threw in some wheatgerm....YUMM!!
This recipie would be tasty with a sqeeze of lemon juice or no sugar at all.(-:
Sorry "Equal", I'm not going to promote your artificial sweetner because I don't use that stuff, nor is it even necessary in this recipe. Between the fruit, the juice and the fat free vanilla yogurt I used, it was sweet and delicious enough on its own.
Very yummy, I didn't use frozen bananas or strawberry's because I didn't want to wait for them to freeze so i added a few icecubes and it was still delicious. However I didn't use quite as much Equal as recommended.
I just tried this recipe and thought it wasn't that great!I used strawberry yogurt instead of the plain and used less equal as suggested. I thought it tasted too much orange and bitter. Sorry, maybe my tastebuds are not working for me today.
I wasn't going to make this because of the submitter...however...after reading Linda's review I decided to make anyway. I already had bananas and strawberries in the freezer which made this even more tempting... Used all ingredients except the sweetener. 2yr old loved it...It has such a pretty color and fresh taste. Making another batch for the boys when they get home...Thx Linda!!
VERY GOOD! Quick and easy breakfast if you plan ahead to freeze the banana. I only used two packets of Equal and it was plenty sweet.
